Three moves, in this order

Most people who land here have been uneasy for a few weeks and have not done anything yet. Start with these three, in this order: 1. Two weeks of water and food. 2. Power and a way to hear the news. 3. Paper records and some cash. The full list is on the Start Here page, and the printable checklist is free below.

Why we started this

We started Off Switch Supply in September 2026, the month the heads of the largest AI companies said publicly that the technology may need to slow down.

Everything here earns its place by working when the network doesn't. If something stops earning it, it comes off the list.

The Outage Report

One email a week. What happened in AI and infrastructure, in plain words, and what it means at your house. The printable Grid Down Checklist is free on the Start here page.
